Allen (Al) Anderson is a retired vice president of governmental and public affairs for CHS, Inc. in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Today he resides in rural West Concord, Minnesota, and volunteers with agricultural business, church and social and professional organizations. Anderson is also a past president of the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council.
Anderson says the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council is the voice of agriculture – it is heard and respected as the spokesperson for broad based agriculture, representing both producers and business.
While at CHS, Anderson held a variety of roles, including vice president of corporate administration and commodity marketing, administrator of hedging services, manager of Country Hedging (a CHS subsidiary) and senior commodity merchandiser. Prior to joining CHS, Anderson spent 10 years with a Midwestern grain and soybean processing company after completing duty as a U.S. Naval officer. After his retirement, he received the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council’s Distinguished Service Award, Honorary America FFA Degree and is a member of the Minnesota FFA Hall of Fame.
