2008 Annual Meeting

The 2008 Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Annual Meeting was Oct. 30, at the River Centre in St. Paul. The event featured a comprehensive program, including some of the country’s top political figures, including U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer, U.S. Congressman and House Agriculture Committee Chair Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.

Nearly 400 attended the Annual Meeting entitled, “American Agriculture – Feeding the World.”  Congressman Peterson was also honored as the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding efforts in making the recent farm bill a reality.

2007 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2007 Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Annual Meeting took place on November 8, 2007, at the St. Paul River Centre. The annual event featured a diverse program, including panel discussions, members of congress, luncheon program, vendor fair, social hour and an evening banquet with keynote speaker, former Congressman Charlie Stenholm.

The 40th annual meeting entitled, "Food, Agriculture and Energy: What a Partnership!" highlighted the inter-relationship of these three key areas and how they affect each other and Minnesota’s economy as a whole.
