The 2008 Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Annual Meeting was Oct. 30, at the River Centre in St. Paul. The event featured a comprehensive program, including some of the country’s top political figures, including U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer, U.S. Congressman and House Agriculture Committee Chair Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.
Nearly 400 attended the Annual Meeting entitled, “American Agriculture – Feeding the World.” Congressman Peterson was also honored as the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding efforts in making the recent farm bill a reality.
